Seagrove Beach
Seagrove Beach - An Early Gulf Front Settlement on Scenic Highway 30A
Seagrove Beach stands as one of the pioneering Gulf-front beach communities that emerged along the prestigious Scenic Highway 30A corridor. Since the 1940s, it has established itself as a beloved destination for families seeking a beach vacation. Situated just east of WaterColor and Seaside, Seagrove Beach offers an idyllic environment for relaxed coastal living. Its exceptional walkability to retail establishments and restaurants evokes a nostalgic charm. Discover your quintessential beach home in this prime location.
Seagrove Beach - A Charming Gulf Front Community
During the development of Seagrove Village, there was minimal construction beyond a handful of cottages and the petite Seagrove Hotel. Accessing Seagrove involved traversing a sandy trail from the paved U.S. Highway 98. The present-day 30-A road was merely a simple dirt path spanning a few hundred feet in both directions. Before the paving of 30-A, Seagrove and Grayton Beach were separated by Western Lake, leaving boating as the sole means of travel between the two towns.
Boasting the allure of an old-fashioned Florida beach town, Seagrove Beach appeals to those in search of a scenic Gulf-front home along the esteemed 30A. The community's central location, coupled with its modern amenities and diverse real estate options, makes it a must-visit destination.
Seagrove Beach Homes - A Tapestry of Architectural Styles
Seagrove Beach homes present a captivating medley of architectural styles. Amidst the more recent residences, which offer contemporary interpretations of the traditional Florida beach cottage style, stand enduring concrete-block cottages. The community also features gated neighborhoods with Greek-revival themed houses, as well as properties showcasing the timeless charm of classic beach cottages. Over time, the area has witnessed the construction of architecturally sophisticated homes.
Seagrove Beach Homes & Amenities
While Seagrove Beach benefits from its central location amid the plethora of dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities along Scenic 30A, the community itself offers a diverse range of dining options within walking distance. Seashore Village Market Cafe, a local favorite since 1949, has garnered recognition in numerous magazines. Garden & Gun magazine even acclaimed their grouper sandwich as one of the "100 Things You Must Eat Before You Die." Located next door is V Seagrove, a landmark restaurant evoking the spirit of South Beach Miami, which many consider the heart of Seagrove Beach. Other notable nearby restaurants include Cafe Thirty-A and 723 Whisky Bravo.
Seagrove Beach is further distinguished by Eastern Lake, one of the rare coastal dune lakes found along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. The community also enjoys proximity to Deer Lake State Park, a 1,920-acre natural oasis encompassing yet another coastal dune lake, serene beaches, sand dunes, coastal forests, and hiking trails. This park is a popular destination for hikers, fishermen, birdwatchers, and beachcombers.
Furthermore, Seagrove Beach proudly hosts two of the three high-rise condo towers on Scenic 30A that were built prior to the implementation of the region's four-story height restriction.
